Navjot Singh Sidhu 114 not out vs West Indies at Visakhapatnam on Nov 07, 1994

In the 3rd ODI between India vs West Indies at Visakhapatnam on November 07, 1994, Indian dashing batsman Navjot Singh Sidhu played mastercalls innings. He dismantled all west indies bowlers in all corners of the grounds. He scored sensational 114 not out in 103 balls in 128 minutes including 9 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 110.67. He was declared man of the match. Indian crowd really enjoyed his innings. Lets relive and watch his innings.

West Indies won the toss and elected to field first. India scored 260 for 4 in 44 overs. Ajay Jadeja 38, Sachin Tendulkar 54, Muhammad Azhar ud din 45, and Navjot Sidhu 114 not out were the major contributors. In reply, West Indies managed to score 256 for 7 and lost the match by just 4 runs. Phil Simmons 51, Stuart Williams 49, Brian Lara 39, and Carl Hooper 74 were major contributors. With this win Indian led the 5-match series 2-1. This was ODI # 949 as on field umpires were Raman Sharma and Sekhon. TV umpire was Subrata Banerjee and match referee was Raman Subba Row.

Sachin Tendulkar First Six in International Test

Do you know, when Sachin Tendulkar hit the first six in international cricket? As everyone knows, Sachin made his Test debut against Pakistan in Karachi in 1989. But he has to wait 245 days to hit the first six in international cricket.Sachin Tendulkar hit the first six to England off-spinner Eddie Hemmings at Leeds in the Ist ODI of the 1990 three-match series. In a brief 19 runs inning, Sachin faced 35 balls and hit one four and one six. Before that, he appeared in 10 Test matches and 5 ODI’s. Let's watch his first six in international cricket.

Ravi Shastri and Vinod Kambli 124 Runs opening Partnership vs Pakistan at Sharjah 1991

In the sixth match of the Wills Trophy Sharjah Cup on Oct 23, 1991. Indian batsman Ravi Shastri and Vinod Kambli hammer the strong Pakistani bowling lineup by putting 124 runs in the first wicket partnership. Pakistan's bowling lineup consists of Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Aaqib Javed, Imran Khan, and Akram Raza. Pakistan batted first after winning the Toss and put a challenging target of 257/7 on the slow surface.  Aamer Sohail, 91 Zahid Fazal 39, Saleem Malik 42, and Imran Khan 43 were the major contributors.

In reply, India was well on target to put 124 runs first wicket partnership. Ravi Shastri and Vinod Kambli toying with the Pakistan bowling, but once Vindo Kambli was caught behind, off Aqib Javed's bowling, the rest of the Indian batting didn’t respond well and lost the match by 4 runs. Ravi Shastri 77, Kambli 40, Sanjay Manjrekar 49, and Sachin Tendulkar 49 were the main contributors to India. This was an extremely tense clash between arch-rivals. Aamer Sohail was declared Player of the Match.
